"I ALREADY HAVE AN LAUSD PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT": Great! Even if coming from a different school, you use your same account to access your info at GALA. Your current Parent Portal account should be updated with GALA by the first day of school.
"I AM COMING FROM LAUSD BUT I DON'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT": You will need your daughter's Student ID number which can found on her previous LAUSD's report cards. If you currently attending another school and registering at GALA for next year, you will receive your parent PIN from your CURRENT school.
"I AM COMING FROM OUT OF THE DISTRICT, PRIVATE SECTOR, HOME SCHOOLING": You will need a parent PIN number. This number is usually available a few weeks before school starts.

HOMEWORK/GRADES
Schoology is LAUSD'S parent/student portal. Parents and students can see homework, assignments, grades, etc.
PARENTS: You must set up Schoology through the LAUSD Parent Portal (see above) and then when you download the app, you can log in directly. Or you can access it through the LAUSD Parent Portal account. You can also set up the system so you get email alerts when homework is past due.
STUDENT ACCOUNTS: Usernames and Passwords are given by your teacher.
