At GALA, science education begins with 6th Grade Earth Science and grows into a dynamic, college-preparatory program that includes AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Environmental Science, Physiology, and more.
T E C H N O L O G Y
Computer Science at GALA begins in 6th grade and builds each year through hands-on learning in technology, coding, and digital design. All 10th grade students take AP Computer Science Principles, exploring coding, technology, and e-textiles, with opportunities to advance to AP Computer Science (Java). Some tech electives include eSports and Game Design.
E N G I N E E R I N G
Engineering at GALA goes beyond the classroom. Students explore design and innovation through our student Engineering clubs, Engineering Dynamics class, Architecture and Robotics electives, and competitive Robotics teams at both the middle and high school levels.
M A T H
GALA students begin their math journey in 6th grade and have the opportunity to start accelerating in the 6th or 7th grades, with a pathway leading up to AP Calculus. See the course handbook and math course chart for more information.
R O B O T I C S
GALA has Middle and High School robotics teams that compete across the city and GALA hosts city-wide robotics tournaments on campus.

Our Flight Simulators were generously donated so our girls could learn the complexities of pilot navigation and aerospace.
